Contact Lenses
At Weston Opticians we offer a very personal Contact Lens Service designed to suit your individual needs. We aim to supply the most suitable Contact Lenses for you and as an Independent Optician we can use a wide range of suppliers to source the best lenses for you.
With advancing technology contact lenses are constantly evolving to offer better comfort, more stable visual correction and added health benefits such as increased breathability and UV blocking properties. So, if you previously thought that you can’t wear contact lenses you may be pleasantly surprised to find that you can. At Weston Opticians we take the time needed to make sure your lenses are comfortable and give you any assistance needed to continue wearing them.
The main types of lenses available are as follows:
- Daily Disposable Lenses: Designed to be thrown away at the end of each day, and are ideal for occasional sports or social wear. Available to most prescriptions.
- Monthly Disposable Lenses: Replaced every month, these are the most economic lenses for people who want everyday wear. Standard monthly disposables must be removed at night and cleaned.
- Monthly Extended Wear: Designed for overnight wear, these are the very latest in contact lens materials technology. Also extremely good for daily wear (removing at night) as these provide maximum oxygen supply to the cornea.
- Monthly Multifocal Lenses: For those of you wanting to have the freedom of being able to see clearly for Distance and Reading we are able to prescribe Multifocal Contact Lenses.
- Gas Permeable (Rigid Lenses): Weston Opticians can offer a range of specialised lenses made to the exact shape of your corneas. These are available in all prescriptions and most materials. These lenses are usually replaced annually.
For those of you wanting the freedom to see Distance and Reading, we are able to prescribe specialised Gas Permeable Multifocal lenses too.
